Allman Brothers Band, Troy State U, Jan 1971 Articles / Music Posted by on Apr 02, 2002 - 09:48 AM I went to an Allman Brothers Band concert which occurred as a last minute affair at Troy State University in Alabama in Jan 1971. I believe the date was January 10th, but am not completely sure. As I recall, the ABB's truck broke down and the band decided to have a show right then, right there. Tickets were printed up in a hurry. They were red with simple printing. The show was held in a small gym with the band on a slightly elevated platform in the middle. We all sat on the floor and had a great time. This concert is never listed in any listing of performances!
