(New York, NY) Gregg Allman has announced a major series of U.S. live dates set to begin December 30th and 31st with a pair of New Year’s Eve celebrations at Savannah, GA’s Lucas Theatre For The Arts. Allman and his full eight-man band will then travel the American South through January 2017, culminating in a very special two-night stand at The Grand Opera House in the legendary rocker’s beloved Macon, GA on January 17th and 18th. A complete itinerary is below. For complete details and ticket information, please see greggallman.com/tour [1].

Allman will be accompanied throughout the tour by his always-extraordinary band, comprising Scott Sharrard (guitar), Peter Levin (keyboards), Steve Potts (drums), Brett Bass (bass), Jay Collins and Art Edmaiston (saxophone), Marc Franklin (trumpet), and longtime Allman Brothers Band member Marc Quinones (percussion). The tour follows Allman and his band’s hugely anticipated 10-night club residency at New York’s City Winery, slated to get underway Sunday, November 6th. The rare intimate run marks Allman’s long-awaited return to City Winery following last year’s sold out club residency. Limited seated and standing room tickets are available now via citywinery.com.

“I love coming to New York and staying a while,” says Allman of the City Winery run. “It feels natural.”

Allman’s jam-packed live schedule continues what has been an extraordinarily eventful year, one that began with sold out winter and spring tours and later saw his Laid Back Festival expand to five American cities after the unprecedented success of 2015’s inaugural single event. Laid Back festival dates for 2017 will be announced soon.

While Allman is in New York, the famed Morrison Hotel Gallery will open an exhibit of Patricia O'Driscoll's photography of Gregg over the past several years. The exhibit will run from November 10 - November 27, 2016.
