Gov't Mule, Medeski Martin & Wood, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Ozomatli, the New Deal, and Galactic are among the acts confirmed for the Superfly During Jazzfest concert series, set for April 26-May 5 in New Orleans. The sixth annual series, staged by promoters Superfly Presents, runs concurrently with the city's Jazz & Heritage Festival, the lineup for which has yet to be unveiled.

Also yet to be unveiled is the lineup for the famed Super Jam at the Saenger Theatre, which last year featured Dave Matthews Band drummer Carter Beauford, Medeski Martin & Wood keyboardist John Medeski, saxophonist Joshua Redman, guitarist Marc Ribot, and vocalist Me'Shell Ndegeocello. In 2000, the event spawned the live debut of Oysterhead, comprising Phish's Trey Anastasio, Primus' Les Claypool, and the Police's Stewart Copeland.

Other acts on tap for Superfly During Jazzfest include Vida Blue (featuring Phish's Page McConnell, the Allman Brothers Band's [1] Oteil Burbridge [2], and the Funky Meters' Russell Batiste), the Radiators, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, moe., Jack Johnson, Deep Banana Blackout [3], North Mississippi Allstars, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, and the Funky Meters.

The shows will be held at such New Orleans venues at Tipitina's, the Orpheum Theatre, the Maple Leaf Bar, and the Riverboat Cajun Queen.
