Hi everyone! Do any of y'all have any of the classic tv shows like Sanford And Son on DVD? If so, what's your fav(s)? Mine are Emergency and the Brady Bunch!

"Leave It To Beaver"

with the best tv line ever: "Ward, don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night?"

I don't really buy a lot of TV on dvd, I still like to flip through channels and be suprised to find Cheers or MASH or All in the Family on. But I have bought a few tv shows on dvd which I made an exception for.

Mr Show - got every season, best sketch comedy since Python
Batman Animated - yeah, I dig cartoons and I grew up on Batman. Great peices of gothic noir, those backgrounds are breathtaking
Looney Tunes - ok, they were originally released theatrically, but I grew with these on Sat mornings and it's nice to pop them in first thing on the weekend with a bowl of cereal (or a beer, if it's football season).

There are quite a few U.K ''Classic'' T.V shows from the Seventies you can now purchase on DVD. The best are ''STEPTOE AND SON'', ''PORRIDGE'', ''OPEN ALL HOURS'' and ''RISING DAMP''. Abosolute classics in a league of their own.

I manage a pawn shop and the owner doesn't mind me bringing home DVD's to watch with my family.

Recently, we have someone sell the first five season to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so I brought home the first season to see how it was...and it's alright. I've brought home all of the sets, we're up to season six...which a friend loaned me.

My two boys, 12 & 13, both love it, the wife thinks it's funny, so it's a "family" thing to do...although starting season five the stories get more "sexually charged" so younger viewers may not be old enough to watch.

The DVD set I want hasn't been released, and from what I hear it won't be; WKRP in Cincinnati.

Apparently, because of all the music in the show, it's impossible to get released because it means royalties etc, and there's no way they can replace the songs with other songs.

Drag!

Northern Exposure. The DVDs come packaged in little down jackets with a zipper. One of the greatest all-time shows.

WKRP In Cincinnati! (I always mis-spel Cincinatti!). Like the Mary Tyler Moore show, the writers had to have worked in radio (TV for MTM) at some point. So many personalities and quirks! I have been told that the "Flying Turkeys" episode was based on a real event.

I only have 'The Honeymooners' and that is on video. I'd like to get the 'Tour Of Duty' complete shows on DVD and perhaps "The Invaders", if they have it.

Anybody recall those shows?

Mighty Mouse first aired on CBS on the "The Mighty Mouse Playhouse" on December 10th, 1955. He was the first cartoon character ever to appear on Saturday mornings. The show ran for 11 years and became the longest lasting Saturday morning cartoon series. Pearl Pureheart was his girlfriend and his foe was Oil Can Harry.

Here's the words to the theme song:

Mr. Trouble never hangs around when he hears this mighty sound,
"Here I come to save the day!"
That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way!
Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right,
Mighty Mouse will join the fight!
On the sea or on the land,
He's got the situation well in hand!

My favorite old tv program was F Troop and it just came out on dvd, but it only contains a couple of episodes. The best episode is when Don Rickles guest starred on it. It is hilarious.
