for a couple of show review threads from the past tour, it seems that people are reporting that the lawn at venues is closed off due to lack of people or somehting like that. So what does this mean if you have lawn tix? Do they put you in a seat or something? I'm going to the show in Charlotte, and since now moe. is opening instead of LS, I predict there to be a much smaller crowd.

It happened in Toronto.

I was told by security that the lawns were sold out, and the band didn't want to play to empty seats in front, so the lawn section gets closed and you just find an empty seat. Nothing was assigned, there was no anouncement, it was just catch as you can.

Closing the lawns is BS, because that's where people who wanna dance can do it without the problems of people telling them to sit...

not likely that'll happen in charlotte. never has before, and they've sold well over 1000 lawn tickets already.

DMBdeac, comin' to Charlotte? send me a PM.

oh yeah, i just remembered, they are SO flogging the lawn at Verizon this year because of the new giant screen TVs. my wife and i were at DMB this year, and the difference in the lawn experience was remarkably better!
