When I was a kid, this was one of my least favorite songs on the album. Now it's one of my favorites for sure.

This is my favorite Zeppelin album and in my opinion (not that it matters much to anybody but me) of the greatest albums ever released. It showcases every faucet of Led Zeppleins talents.
Thanks, I know what will be dialed up on the ipod for the ride home in a bit.

A perfect example of what I was talking about in another Zeppelin thread recently, in terms of Zep's outstanding songwriting and arrangement skills. Those songs stand the test of time.

This probably isn't even one of Zeppelin's Top 10, but so much better than anything most bands will ever put out. Such a strong, deep catalog of timeless music.

Great songs , and yes from my fav Zep album. Could I dare say they're best?!?!?! That I am sure could be debated forever. I will probably listen to Presence next week and that one will be my favorite if you ask me then!! The are all good.

always loved Down By the Seaside. in fact it's on my favorite side of PG, Side 3:
Side Three:
In The Light
Bron-Yr Aur
Down by the Seaside
Ten Years Gone

thanks jszfunk for posting the PG cover pic, i snagged it and am using it as the background on my double monitor setup. it's in stretch mode now, but i also tried the tiled option which is also cool.

Does anyone remember album sides?

I think a lot of people here remember album sides. But I'm sure that was a rhetorical question, like, "Does anybody remember laughter?"

I second the thanks for posting the cover. I right-clicked > set as background, too. It was time for the Reef bikini girls to move along.

The Physical Graffiti record cover is great, with the windows and all.

Zeppelin is probably my fav group. Trying to pick my favorite release is trying to pick your favorite child. But if I ever had to choose one album , Physical would be it.us

right on Brother Rob

this one and ten years gone are the best on this record.
Physical Graffiti is 4 sides of good stuff. no fluff

I also really love the "Presence" record.
Those are 2 of the hardest rockin hard rock records you will ever find.

I love to pound out those power chords on "The Rover" , that's a fun one to play/jam on.

I also really dig Led Zepellin III for the folk/acoustic side of Zep.

it's all good
even the Memphis Minnie and Blind Wiliie Johnson rip offs

I agree. I love playing songs from Physical on my guitar, some fun riff stuff and some great melodies. Sick again, In My Time, In The Light, Ten Years, ...where do I stop!!

Tea For One is proabably one of my fav slower/ blues type numbers from these guys. Page guitar work on that is outstanding,IMHO.

It's sad we do not here an' bands out there these days really putting out power house
rock like these guys. I don't expect anyone to be the next Zep or copy, but just to here this type of rock they put out album after album is very rare.

yes funkyfan, that was indeed what I was riffing on.

i do believe that the lack of "sides" on cd's has diminished how bands put together their releases. it was nice to have a Begining, and end to Act 1, then a second Begining to Act 2, then the closing statement.

turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me over turn me on
