Anyone seen or heard this guy before? He's opening for Mule and Jackie Greene in Philly tomorrow.

I've got a baseball tournament tomorrow, and am trying to figure out if it'll be worth getting all hectic to make it to the show in time to see T. Shorty open up.

Thanks!

If you like funky New Orleans music (Neville Bros., Meters, etc.), you'll love Trombone Shorty. I saw him recently at the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival and he was GREAT. I could not stop dancing, next time I see him I'm bringing my girlfriend so we can really go nuts on the dance floor. I like his new record, but it's way too overproduced. I'm hoping for a live album soon. He is really charismatic and his band is awesome, too.

I saw him open for ( & then sit in w/) Allen Toussaint last year & I'd go see him if you can. I agree with peachlovingman, total funky NOLA music & if you're a dancer, you ain't gonna stop! He's playing the Hardly Strickly Bluegrass Festival here in SF in Oct. & I'm planning on see him then.

Saw him both solo and sitting in with Galactic at Jazz Fest this year. GO! You won't be disappointed.
