POSTPONED
LAID BACK FESTIVAL
A CELEBRATION MUSIC, LOCAL FOOD & BREWS

NEW SHOW DATE – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2016

MOTHER’S FINEST, ANOTHER GEORGIA FAVORITE
ADDED TO THE FESTIVAL!

Last Thursday, Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, was injured prior to an event in Texas. Dusty has subsequently undergone treatment for his fractured shoulder forcing the band to postpone many of their spring concert dates; including the May 7th Laid Back Festival performance in Atlanta.

Dusty Hill, offered this comment, "My physicians told me that this type of injury is usually associated with contact sports. I'm not sure bass-playing qualifies as such but they're doing their best to get me back in the game as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes we've received. We're determined to enjoy a speedy recovery and to see you soon!"

The goal was to keep this festival intact while Dusty recovers rather than attempting to replace with another band. Laid Back Festival’s curator and headliner, Gregg Allman, commented “Laid Back Fest in Atlanta was coming up soon and I was getting really excited for it. Was going to be the first one of the five! No better place to start than in my home state. So I’m disappointed that we have to postpone it, but there’s no way I’d want to do it without ZZ Top. Once we’re there, we’ll all be glad we waited.”

When the festival takes place on the new show date, Saturday, October 29, 2016; the line-up will include Gregg Allman, ZZ Top, Blackberry Smoke, Michele Malone, Stonerider, Gabriel Kelley and Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band. Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts, Kevn Kinney Band will not be on the new show date. Georgia’s own funk-rock band, Mother’s Finest has joined the festival. Local food trucks, breweries and vendors will all still partake in this amazing festival. Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets purchased for the original festival date which will be honored on the new show date in October.
