Anyone going? This show was fantastic last year. I'm hoping for another Magical evening with a National Treasure Mr. Levon Helm and his amazing band. If I am lucky again there will be some great special guests to sit in. It will be hard to match Phoebe Snow's performance of Into the Mystic from last year's show. I can't wait till the Music starts.

Last Night was an incredible show.
Guests included, Donald Fagan, Phoebe Snow and Jimmy Weider (90's line-up of The Band), just to name a few.

For the encore, I Shall Be Released, all the guests came back on stage...it felt like the last waltz.
Levon's was playing off the energy of the audience and looked and sounded great.

I'll be there up in the nose bleed seats which as most here know aint' too bad as far as nose bleed seats go. I was out of town the last 2 years that Levon played the beacon. I'm really psyched up for tonight !

Do you or does anyone who went last night have approx. start/finish times? Thanks

Sweet show! Imus is full of **** - Donald Fagen sat in for nearly the whole show on keys and, often, melodica.

Lots of new songs played, some new old ones like Unfaithful Servant and Across The Great Divide, and damn did the Beacon look beautiful.

IMUS SAID GREGG ALLMAN WILL BE THERE TONIGHT!

At least give the guy a few more hours before you say he's full of ITshay!

LOL. Well the sign sure does day Levon Helm Band. Passed the building today. Didn't look closely as I am planning on savoring that on the 9th. Still some scaffolding around the front. They must still be doing some work on the exterior of the building.

Levon puts on a good show. I'm glad to hear they added a few new songs.

Remember one thing about the Beacon: There is not a bad seat in the house.

I hope Gregg sits in tonight. Get him ready for Monday. :-)

I heard that Donald Fagen played most of the show with Levon. He sat at the piano & other keys and Bruce Katz was sitting right next to him on the organ. Where was Gregg!!!

Gregg was backstage last night. His car arrived to take him back to his hotel before the show ended. The show was longer than Gregg expected it to be.

Joe Louis Walker was a special guest and he did a great job along with Catherine Russell. Jimmy Vivino sang Makes No Difference "for Ricky" and Jimmy Weider was fantastic on it.
Levon looked so happy and was on stage all night having such a good time.
Kinda ended abruptly right at 11pm after I Shall Be Released for encore.

So the Allman Brothers Band will also be on this curfew? Is that a MSG thing or a city thing?

The rehearsal last night had to end by 11:00PM so this may be a MSG thing...

if the abb shows end at 11 it would really suck!!!!! MSG and cablevision suck and now with PSL for football in NYC, its all business. even though i am a big Yankee fan, its great to see them eating some of their "prime" seats. Boy did their season ticket holders get the screws. As a Jets season tix holder, i am also getting screwed

Hope this isn't true. Neil Young at MSG went way past that hour. Have a friend who used to work for MSG. Midnight was the magic overtime hour - they wanted the shows over by about 11:15; 11:30 at the latest. But who knows in this economy.

11pm could also have something to do with the Unions, right? someone more versed in them yankee-fied ways could elaborate i'm sure. it's still up to the band and their agreement. playing past 11 may cost them mo' money, but if they plan on it, then it's not "breaking curfew" or anything.
