I hate like the devil to admit this, but I can't fault Palin for this one. Her people should have briefed her on the internal team loyalties. I'd have probably made the same mistake if no one had told me any differently. But please don't ask me to defend her again!!!

I love it; the LA Times - the paper that won't release the video of Obama at a 2003 Arab American Action Network (AAAN) dinner where Rashid Khalidi, William Ayers, and Bernadine Dohrn were in attendance - finds this important enough to notice. Gotta love what's happened to journalism.

That would be like her coming to South Jersey and bringing up the NY Giants when the overwhelming majority of us are Philadelphia Eagles fans...

Rich -if you Google it you will find at least a half dozen other sources....I just picked the one that was at the top.

Oh, and BTW-the McCain camp gave $200K to Rashid Khalidi's organization, in case you missed that pathetic backpedal by one of his operatives yesterday.

Yeah, I heard about that donation Brofan. Kinda takes the wind out of the McCain folks attacks. But you do have to wonder why the Times won't release that video.

I'll be Joe the Plumber could fix things right up. Oops - wrong plumbers, wrong election

In that video with CNN and Goldfarb, I got the impression there was some deal made where the LA Times couldn't release it.

That was the rationale....As much as I am for an open and free press, it seems like there is awful lot of disinformation that could be hidden behind the "we had a deal" thing..cynic that I am.

I think that Palin probably isn't much of a baseball fan and either someone gave her bad information, or, more likely, she made an off the cuff remark. I don't see any harm, although I would bet she was a bit confused as to why she was booed.

Yeah, I agree OTF.
This is what she said.
On Thursday at a rally in Erie, Pa., Sarah Palin touted the victors in the World Series to thousands of supporters. "I am thrilled to be here in the home state of the world-champion Philadelphia Phillies," Palin said.

I think some people are trying to make a bigger thing out of this.
I see no harm at all.

Don't forget what happened the last time republicans got mixed up with 'plumbers'.

"The White House Plumbers or simply the Plumbers is the popular name given to the covert White House Special Investigations Unit established July 24, 1971 during the presidency of Richard Nixon. Its job was to stop the leaking (hence "plumbers") of classified information to the news media. Its members branched into more nefarious projects working for the Committee to Re-elect the President (CRP, or CREEP), including the Watergate break-ins and the ensuing Watergate scandal."

Politicians make mistakes like this all of the time. I've seen it here when somebody tries to be hip by bringing up a Cleveland team, which does not go over well. At least she didn't try to put forth some BS like Hillary being a Yankees fan while growing up in Chi-town.

I'll give you that one. Or how about Hillary downing shots in a working class bar to show that she was just a "Regular Gal"?

I wonder when the last time was that she did a shot before that photo op...

Why is it fine for Americans to associate with AIPAC and shady to be at an Arab-American conference?

Obama's thing isn't Jews or Arabs, it's Jews and Arabs.

You know, not a one-sided Middle East policy that automatically defaults to the Israeli right wing's views?

Slightly more complicated and involved than what you suggest, Rich.

Reminds me of the time she was in Philly a few months ago and was going to go out for a jog wearing a NY Rangers jersey. Some fan saw her just before she was going to run and offered her a swap (he was wearing an Eagles jersey - he must have been a Republican). That would have been a major cultural insult!
