That's a hell of a garden there. I really find it hard to believe you live in downtown L.A.

I finally grew a decent crop of tomato's this year, about 20 per day have been coming ripe for the last month or so. Walk around the block every day giving bags of them away.

Looks great MIke. I sure miss gardening up in Kearney, Missouri where I used to live.
Had a watermelon and cantalope patch the was out of this world. Did the corn, green bean, strawberry and tomato thing too but my melons were fantastic. Largest was a 44 pounder.

Mine's pretty much done now! I ate the last peach from my tree (yummmm) and tomatoes are almost gone. Sunflowers are wilting and Deer ate my blueberries. Does this sound like a making of a country song?

i think you need to explain more i am not familiar with what a arrow shirt is but i know his only had one arrow in his torso and he was shot in the head most likley self inflicted...and i know the Natives who fought him found his arrogance baffeling.. ok back to gardens..

Tomato crop was lousy for me this year, except for the cherries. Had a good size pumpkin goin' till the groundhog from under my shed ate half of it!! Anyone got any non-firearm solutions to my groundhog problem? Also, any soil prep. recommendations, supplements? I admittedly still have a lot to learn with the veggies but love to be out in the yard killing some stress.

Ok non firearm a bow and arrow works very well,a live trap or haveaheart but take him along way from your home, also a conibaer trap will take him out quickly and humainly.

Supplements for the soil have it PH tested your local agriculture office should be able to do this ,then add the things your soil is lacking in also use a product called agzime all oragnic gives a boost to new plants, also fertilize with fish emulsion every two weeks, use straw for mulch and use soaker hoses... have fun it is awesome to eat off your own little patch of ground..
