I hope someone taped the Soul Stew Revival.

It doesn't look like they are passing through the Carolinas.

I second that, Doug!

FWIW, I heard that was a pretty bad Panic show.

most of the peeps are probably just getting their head back on straight after 4 days of sex, drugs, and rock & roll.

as for wsp, it's a one off gig essentially (summer tour starts in LA, CA on 6/20). they always take a week or two of tour to get the rails greased, just like the ABB. it was only a 3 hour one set show with no break except for the encore... but maybe jimmy had so many notes stored up since the end of spring tour he let too many fly, it's been known to happen
check it here for WSP stream:

here's a stream of metallica's set

My 18 year old daughter and my 20 year old son were there for the whole 4 days! They had an absolute blast....time of their lives. My daughter's favorite by far was The Raconteurs.....she's now officially in love with Jack White..lol. They also loved Sigur Ros, Robert Randolph, Robert Plant/Alison Krauss. They saw Metallica but had to leave Sunday night before Widespread Panic. My daughter is all ready to go again next year...I told her that I'm not so sure....I gained too many gray hairs while they were gone!!!

She slept for 15 hours straight when she got home. My poor son had to start a new job Monday morning!

The Phil acoustic show was done in it's entirety. It was the late night show that was cut short, and Phil seemed pissed. He had enough class not to bitch slap anyone, but you could tell he was annoyed when breaking the news to the crowd.

Metallica put on a great show, dunno what nypeachhead was watching (or did you hear from someone?). Either way, I thought they were great.

Pearl Jam was great as well.

Widespread Panic, if you questioned them being the closer again, listen to this show. Holy Sh*t! If ya didn't know, now ya know.

Levon Helm and the Ramble on th Road was a fantastic set.

The Soul Stew was decent, kinda low key, not spectactular but good. Susan at the Sonic Stage put on a solid 30 minute set, with Kofi sitting in with her for a few tunes.

Lots of other fine performances, really to many to remember for a while.

Sounds like a good time as usual I read an interesting story about how Pearl Jam hadn't played a big festival since they had an incident where some fans died. I think it was in Europe somewhere, I remember hearing about it now, but I had forgotten all about it.

In a nutshell, everybody seems to think they were awesome at Bonnaroo, and it restored Eddie Vedder's faith in big events like that, or words to that effect. Good for them!

But they did play to at least 80,000 people at lollapalooza last year

Bonnaroo really was amazing, my buddy and I drove from Rhode Island, and it was absolutely worth it. I met Les Claypool, Bela Fleck, and Umphreys friday and saturday. It was so nice to just step away from civilization and get down. I was able to get a ton of great photos as well. But to top it off, on Sunday I broke away from my friend in search of a bathroom, when i turn the corner, walking towards me is Derek and Mike Mattison. I felt like a little kid, I didn't know what to say, I feel like and idiot now, cause theres a million things i would love to talk to Derek about, but I spoke with them breifly about nothing special and he signed 2 photos i took of him, one from newport folk fest, and the other from the klein in CT. A stage hand hooked up me up before the SSR show and wsa able to have Susan sign one I took of her as well. They played a great set and it looked like they had alota fun, I could tell though that the levels were off because they were running late due to Solomon Burke's set and didn't really get a great soundcheck in.

Dark Star played thursday.
Friday i saw Drive-by Truckers, Umphreys, Les Claypool, Bluegrass Allstars with Bela, Willie Nelson MMJ Bisco .
Saturday- Wood Brothers with Medeski, Little Feat, BB King, Zappa Plays Zappa, Levon Helm, Ivan Neville, Phil Lesh
Sunday- Lees Boys, Israel Vibration, Robert Randolph, Yonder Mountain String Band, Susan Solo set, Phil Lesh Acoustic, Solomon Burke, Derek and Susan SSR, Widespread Panic

The set times couldn't have been better and it really worked out perfectly, aside from lossing my phone on the first day in Centeroo and then it showed up at the lost and found on the last day, but I thiink Wannee may be in my future...
