Yes, that is it.

MFSL discs are nice, but it probably is not worth the $$$ for the upgrade unless you are
really picky about your sound or really love that album.

I have the MFSL Layla and I honestly don't hear much difference at all between that and the Clapton remasters version. Only thing I can really detect is that they cut out the hiss on the CR version. MFSL are supposed to be as close to the master tape as you can get, properly mastered, with no compression (a major plus!). Even so... how many times are you going to play it?

It's a major upgrade, even though the original cd sounds pretty good, where as the Layla cds you are comparing don't sound great, due to the circumstances of their recording.

The new MFSL cd is excellent, with a great soundstage and really nice bass...without being compressed, as boss said.

Worth the cash? Well, that depends on how you care for you cds I guess, and how you value money. Are ABB concert tickets worth their cash? Are the archive releases and Instant Lives worth it?

I think it depends on how much you value music; to me, I want the best sounding pressing available within a reasonable price range...I'll go up to $40 for a new release, providing it's two discs and high resolution or at least, up to audiophile standards.

This particular release is great quality, worth the cash in my opinion...not bright like the MFSL Brothers and Sisters.

Btw, the MFSL of At The FIllmore East is also quite good, and so is the MFSL of Eat A Peach.

However, I think Idlewild South might be the best MFSL ABB cd so far...

Anyone else here have a copy yet? I thought for sure fans would be all over it...individually numbered, 24 karat gold plated ABB cds of Duane-era stuff?

The last MFSL I purchased was John Lennon's Imagine and I thought that it sounded perfectly fine, though I have no other CD version to compare it to. I'm sure this one sounds great as well, but I'd rather listen to the live shows. I think a lot of people around here feel the same way.

Idlewild South is a great studio album, but all of the songs have been done better in a live setting.

Just my .02.
