I love exchanging presents.I gave some good ones to my family this year.I also got some real cool stuff too. My Brother Joe gave me a gift certificate for Records & Stuff ( a local Mom & Pop music shop here.)so I can pick up some new CDs. My Sister Marie gave me a nice black hooded sweatshirt which fits perfectly,My Brother- in- law Chris gave me some cool magazine subscriptions so I don't have to go nuts looking for them at newstands anymore, My Parents gave me a brand new Sony DVD/Video player that I realy needed. My 4yr.old niece and my 6yr.old nephew gave me some very nice ,colorful pictures that they drew for me.Also my good buddie Santa dropped off a big bottle of Jack Daniels that I'm about to open. So What did you get for Christmas this year?

Monty Python's Flying Circus: The 16-Ton Monty Python Megaset

Edition: 16-Disc Boxed Set

Although it may weigh slightly less than 16 tons, this collection of MONTY PYTHON material does contain a welter of classic comedy moments, which should delight fans who have had to endure a patient wait for much of it to become available. MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS first aired in 1969, and immediately turned the conventions of sketch comedy on its head. Bemused and amused viewers saw the core Python team of Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin playfully toying with the medium as they worked their way through each show. But FLYING CIRCUS wasn't just clever, it was sidesplittingly funny as well, with the cast always making sure the technical quirks were a useful adjunct to the humor, and not the other way round. The entire four-year run of FLYING CIRCUS is included here, alongside two MONTY PYTHON LIVE! presentations--1982's MONTY PYTHON LIVE AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL and a reunited Python lineup from 1998 in LIVE AT ASPEN--while the set is rounded out by a "best of" production made to celebrate the 20th year of the Python's, entitled MONTY PYTHON'S PARROT SKETCH NOT INCLUDED.
Cast: Eric Idle, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones

My secret Santa (me) gave me a new, tube-based CD player - the new Raysonic CD 128. Not only looks great, but sounds fantastic. The Chinese are really putting out some great tube-based audio gear. The construction and performance of this could easily demand twice the price in the high-end audiophile market. Anyway, here's a few pics, but they don't do justice to the beautiful construction and design:

Here's a review: http://www.sixmoons.com/audioreviews/raysonic/cd128.html

Amen to that! The sweetest was when we got my granddaughter her first guitar. Got her a 3/4 size (she's only 10), learned to play (somewhat) 'Silent Night' already. What a talent! Obviously takes after her Grandfather. ....Not!!!

Louis Aremstrong's Complete Hot Fives and Sevens Box Set. Some of the greatest and earliest recordings of truly American music.

And the kids got plenty of fun loot. Spent some quality time building legos tonight with my youngest.

I got my kids Guitar hero II which I played almost all day Christmas - since I'm at work now, maybe the boys can get a chance to play it themselves.
