WOW - did anyone else catch that? I happened to switch from the NFL game to the Knicks at that second (my brother just got home tonight from China and is a big Knicks fan and asked me to put it on). That was ridiculous. Thoughts?

I personally think Carmelo is facing 10 - 15 games.

Going to the UC soon to support the 'hawks new coach. 5-1-3 under Denis so far. That's a big time run for them.

Merry Christmas Ron

What happened was the guy on the Knicks (I forget his name) tackled JR Smith with 1 minute 30 left in the game when the Knicks were down by 20. JR Smith stood up and started defending himself and Nate Robinson just absolutely demolished Smith, tackled him. Then things got out of hand. Obviously, the video is the best look.

to me,this is important stuff haviving played high school ball & ,until age 40,i played 5 days a week---my kids play for their school teams(& are way better than me) & we are avid watchers of all levels of basketball---so,along with music, this game is my lifelong passion----so to see the ESPN coverage(just after returning from my older son's HS varsity game) of a terrible, dysfunctional ,losing Knicks team makes me very upset---no, don't blame "hip hop ball"---(that argument is similiar to my parents generation calling us wortless hippy bums & hating our culture & MUSIC & HAIR!!!)---this fight reflects what is seen at all levels of basketball today---the sport has become,in many ways a microcosm of society---the wars,genocides,starvation,hatred,materialism,,rudeness,self-sbsorbtion & darkness of the times we live in---it permeates all aspects of life---including behaviors that we see at our concerts, movies, sporting events,etc.......there were,if you follow basketball, other fights & brawls in the past 50 years----the problem is the 24 hour newscycle & the constant reminders of violence & indecency throughout the world creating one big messy society which has become quite "comfortable" for those who want to act desructively in any area of life---so sports, concerts & all forms of entertainment are forums for acting out in rude, indecent or violent ways----& by the way,Mr. Coach Thomas & Mr. Dolan(the proud new owner of the beacon!!)l these knicks,a group of sulking, immature, incompetent & losing players are a reflection of the choices made by thomas & approved & paid for by dolan---two people in basketball with no record of acievement or success beyond thomas's playing years----is this the garbage approach to "building" a team or theatre that dolan will take??!LORD HAVE MERCY!!!!!

The flagrant foul was totally uncalled for.

Too bad a class guy like Carmelo (who's leading the league in scoring) had to lower himself to Knick level.

They are all in the wrong here, but Carmello needs to be dealt with severly for that punch at the end. These are big, powerful guys that can do a lot of damage. Anyone who remembers Kermit Washington and Rudy T. knows what I'm talking about.

I hope they bring that up and show them what happened! That will hopefully scare the hell out of them. That was scary. Real scary!

These guys need to be dealt with quick and harsh and a severe fine that they will feel in their pocket.

They're gonna have to place a huge barb-wired fence around the outskirts of the floor to protect the season ticket holders. Make a huge fenced in death match.

Latest news is that about a minute before the fight, Isiah said to Carmelo "Stay out of the paint." The Knicks were planning on fouling someone hard because despite the Nuggets being up 20 with 2 minutes and change left to go, they had all their starters in. To quote Nate Robinson "We didn't want to get embarassed and had to protect our honor" (or something along those lines).

Looks like Isiah is going to get hammered down on as well.
