I can't give you setlists- way too much music!

DTB opened with Kama-Lay, which I haven't heard in a while, and closed with For my Brother. Very nice set.

The ABB played around two hours, inclduing smokin versions of Woman Across the River, the Same Thing, One Way Out and Desdemona. But the best part was the two encores- Highway 61 Revisited with Tom Petty and several of the Heartbreakers. I guess there was nothing else left, so they closed with Layla...no further comment necessary.

Petty does the same set every night. I didn't stay for the whole show, but he played nice and tight. He does a great cover of the Yardbirds cover of Muddy's Mannish Boy (aka I'm a Man). Gregg sang with Tom on Little Red Rooster.

Lot's of music for the money last night!!

Wasn't planning on going last night but went w/o a ticket and was lucky enough to find a spare lawn ticket for $20. Missed all of DTB however. Looking forward to him at the Keswick in Oct. Also can't provide a full setlist but I'll add Jessica and Melissa to the list. It seemed as though they were catering to the crowd a bit with their song selection (playing their "hits"). Highlights for me were Desdemona and Layla (2 I've never seen them do before). Petty crowd reacted best to Layla (a song they knew) and the place was rocking. Derek's solo on Layla alone was worth the $20. I estimate 70% Petty fans. Petty was better than I expected however it's hard to appreciate some of the music when all the drunk young ones are screaming along to the lyrics. I like the older songs he played much more than his "hits".

Post-broadcast, the DTB did Freddy's Dead.

It was good!

Out of the two shows (Studio and Tweeter,) the studio was the best for me. The crowd energy was great and being 10 ft from Derek was awesome too. My favorite song was Greensleeves although it seemed like Derek didnt feel as comfortable as he does with the SG. Didnt take any pics in the studio because i was too close to Derek and it wouldnt have been cool.

Here are some pics from the Tweeter:

Cool Fredy, thanks. Sounds like the studio was sweet to be in the front!

Highway 61 with Petty on vocals must have pretty good. He has that nasal tone similar to Dylans. Are they allowing tapers for the ABB set?

I had head rumors that Petty would do Highway 61 with the Allman Brothers, I'm glad this was one of the true rumors! Great tune, perfectly suited for Petty. And Layla? Sounds like a great show!
