I guess the Holmdel show will be the closes one for you to see the ABB. Of course, Pollstar has them playing the 21st and the Homepage of Hittin the Web has them on the 22nd. One bonus though, it appears that Govt Mule is opener, unless someone between now and then, decides to "hose that one up" too. Hate to say this, but ABB management has really made a mess of this. The August dates should have NEVER been posted in the first place until final arrangements with Tom Petty's management had been worked out.

I wish it was that easy, but I'll be in China during those dates...hoping the show on the 11th is in Boston!

Vinsanity, not sure where you are out fo but the Jones Bch. and camden shows might work for ya.There both in June. I gotta believe if you had planned on penns landing, camden should be cool to go to for you. Love the hill overlooking Philly there.

That's all true but it is located in a very bad/violent area of NJ. It would have been nicer at Penn's Landing but I guess Camden will have to do. Don't forget Phil on 6/30 in Camden

Where is the Camden date listed?

That's too late for me, I'll be in China by then - does anyone else think that the August 11th date may be Boston? I think they are passed up on this tour unless they get a date here

Go to the HOB in Atlantic City 6/30 to see the ABB with Derek and his band as the opener...Can't beat that...The Tweeter in Camden is as the opening act fot Tom Petty..A nice show but you can't beat a double dose of ABB + Derek

Man, I was THISCLOSE to having reserved seats for HOB, until my order was rejected when I tried to buy. Ticketbastard, indeed! Going to try the Tweeter Center when it goes on sale, Penn's Landing wasn't happening for me. Saw the Mule there in June 2005, great show, IMO lousy venue.

Keeping on the HOB show theme - things can and often do change, with respect to tickets available, but yesterday afternoon, only GA seats were still popping up on TM...so if you're thinking about the Atlantic City show, don't delay...

Hey Vinsanity,
I saw a date listed for Mansfield Mass (Great Woods) for August, I believe. It is listed here on the home page. That is likely the only "Boston" show of the tour. They will also play in New Hampshire, however, which isn't much further.

Hope something works out for you.

I'm a long-time visitor to this forum, but newly registered member. I am an avid Dead fan from the 80's who always liked the ABB too. A favorite concert memory of mine was attending a free ABB concert in 1987 in Fairmount Park (Philly) - loved the music and the crowd. Did not follow the band all that closely for a number of years after that. Then I saw the Dead in Camden a few years ago with guest Warren Haynes. That was my first exposure to him and I was very impressed. Found out he played with the ABB as one of his "other" jobs. Went to Penn's Landing show last year to see more of Warren and was disappointed he wasn't there but was blown away by another guitarist - Derek Trucks. Started wondering just how much music I missed from these guys the past 5 years. Saw Derek at the Keswick last November (great concert) and now I find myself a big fan of not just ABB, but Gov't Mule and DTB.
Anyway, back to this thread, I was very much looking forward to seeing ABB w/ 2 guitarists this year at Penn's Landing. Then the schedule changes. After bumming for a few hours I made an easy decision: and extra 45 min. drive each way to the HOB to see a full night from 2 bands I love (vs. 1/2 half of a night spent tapping my toe to some Tom Petty hits.) So a couple of GA tix were bought Sat. night and I can't wait for 6/30/06. My only concern about the HOB is that I wonder how much of the crowd will be there more for the gambling then for the music. (Also, if the early reviews for the Tom Petty/ABB shows are great, I may have to open the wallet again for that Camden show.)

If they actually play Camden I will be very excited!! Much, much better venue than the Penn's Landing parking lot!!

ditto. Id say do what Im doing and you can catch both acts before you head to china. festi pier is an alright venue but its just a parking lot with a stage.

6/30 - abb at the HOB in AC. the HOB trumps(hehe) over festi pier or teh tweeter as a music venue to see the ABB in. not to mention it holds a thousand less people than the beacon. Most intimate venue in years Id bet at 2100 person capacity(if Im wrong someone please correct me )

7/1 - phil and friends in PNC. I'll take PNC over camden every single day of the week and not jsut because its 30 minutes closer than camden

they make it so you are segregated from the bad parts. pretty hard to get lost, etc.....

and dont forget the A/C show! there are not that many 'seats' there so G/A is probably the way to go anyway. i love that damn venue!

No thanks but I will be in Philly on 6/30 for Phil. I am already seeing the Brothers 3 - 4 times elsewhere and to be honest they STILL need to change the setlists up a bit. They are really only hard to predict at the Beacon. However, to all of those attending AC....have fun and stay out of gambling debt!!!

ps There is still too much negativity on this board. Do you think the ABB wants to hear us saying eff Petty, eff Phil, eff all of their friends, eff Trey, eff anything that is not ABB??!??? It gets old and most of you don't even know these people/bands

Eaglesgreen, I was at that Fairmount Park show in '87. It was Gregg Allman Band & Dickey Betts Band (w/Warren). Great free show in Philly, fond memories of that day.

Only GA seats are left, reserved is currently sold out.
I guess that could change as 6/30 approaches....

This IS a forum for opinions and I don't like the Petty combo dates that increase the cost while reducing the DTB/ABB content, which has now eliminated a date from my ABB tour schedule...so again EFF Tom Petty! I also say that partially tongue in cheek because I like Tom Petty....saw him just last year...know who he is... saw him at Camden....and didn't get murdered (speaking of negativity).
