Before I get chastised hear me out. I know there are a lot of factors, various schedules for each member, the beacon schedule itself so on and so fourth. But lets be serious here, they need to let people know as soon as possible.
Many have already lost boat loads of money on prior travel plans to make it to NYC this week, myself included. The longer they wait on the announcement the more its going to cost people who are required to travel to make new travel plans. NYC is not a cheap city especially when we are talking hotels etc.
And before people say "Gregg's health comes first" let me say I agree. However, bronchitis only takes a few weeks to heal, there is no reason why that can stop the band from rescheduling dates in May, September, November, whenever. If his illness is something more serious it should be said, and a clearer message should be made to the fans that these shows may not be rescheduled at all.
Enough of the run around here, I feel like everything has been spur of the moment that has to do with this Beacon Run this year. Buy a cd for a chance to buy presale tickets a few days before he presale. Announce that Warren and Derek are leaving the band a few days before the general onsale. Post Gregg's interview saying this is the end of the band a few days before the second round of shows general onsale. Announce postponed shows a few days before people are supposed to travel or go to the actual show.
For once this band needs to put their fans first, especially with everything that has gone on lately with this bands PR. Autopen, Moogis etc. etc. etc. Say what you will but no professional musician would be anything or have anything without fans, the respect should go both ways.
I mean this is a minor consideration but some shows are going on sale in my home city this week and I am nervous to buy tickets or make plans for anything with the possibility that it might conflict with a rescheduled Beacon show.
All I am trying to say is, they said they would let us know soon, in my opinion soon should be now. We have waited long enough.

My apologies for the rant, now everyone please tear me apart.

They WILL let us know as soon as possible.

Right now, it's not possible because they don't know yet. But when they do, they will let us know.

I feel for ya. Trying to organise life around seeing shows really gets tough sometimes, lol.

What, I'm supposed to do it that other way? Pfft...great concerts are a big part of my life.

I've been waiting on dates for summer or fall tour, if there is one. Darien Lake would be great. Perhaps they'll hit Canada one last time? They opened 2007 summer with shows at Casino Rama, 45 minutes from me, so I'm hoping they might do that again.
At the same time, I'm awaiting Jeff Beck's North American dates, so I don't order Darien tickets to find out later Jeff's 45 minutes from me at Rama that night, lol.
Fwiw, Jeff's at the Greek Theatre Aug 13 and Chicago with ZZ Top on Aug 28th....that's all that's leaked out so far.

you know the morons will have a problem what you said .this moron agrees with you . Trust me anyone that disagrees didn't spend $1000 dollars or better for airfare hotels ,tickets , like some did. They gotta come here now anyway not see the show spend the money on food and other entertainment . I feel for them, its a disgrace if management lets this linger. If it is,like when your kids have it .Its a week at best with antibiotics .If greg was really hospitalized then he would be getting extra care and heavy doses of Amoxocilin or some thing else Id be suspicious if the shows are not next week ON the other hand seeing ABB without Greg ,is far from the same .Especially if they role out susan for a replacement .We seen the show last year when his back was out and it was the final show .it was no more than a cover band .The great musicans were out of place ,out of tune and it showed that GReg is still the leader the glue that keeps this train rolling

If you're otherwise healthy, yeah. Not neccessarily when you've had an organ transplant.

I agree that Gregg's health is of first and foremost concern. However, as a courtesy to their faithful fans they ought to make every effort to either reschedule the dates or announce they won't be rescheduled asap. People deserve to be able to get on with their lives and make plans accordingly! :-)

At this point you have the option of getting your money refunded to you so the ABB machine is not obligated by some sort of deadline to announce the rescheduled shows. whats really interesting is that there is a wall of silence around this and there are no tweets or Butch statements (Shocking) about the whole deal. it is kind of awkward in this day and age to not hear the rest of the band reaching out to their fans about the postponnement.

Trust me I would have had my tix refunded already if it was up to me, or passed them off to somebody here. I have had just about enough the way things have gone with this band recently, but waiting it out for now is unfortunately my only option.
Also, people who bought their tickets in the secondary market do not have the refund option. Even more of a reason the band or management should post some sort of information.
All I was trying to say is this information was leaked before the band or management said a word, and nothing since. I feel the fans deserve more, we've tolerated a lot lately... I feel as though its almost disrespectful the way things have gone on the past few years and this is just the icing on the cake.
I know others feel differently, and I am not trying to stir the pot... I just think we (as a whole) deserve more recognition and respect.

At this point you have zero evidence that Gregg's state of health has any clarity at all.

Then in that case people should be warned that their tickets for his solo tour in a few weeks are in jeopardy. Unless they want to give a days notice on that as well.

Then shouldnt that be said? Shouldn't there be some release that he could miss it?
Can this band ever do any wrong?

Like I said his health comes first, and wannee is a great example, people travel from all over the country. Don't they deserve some notice of whats going on so they can plan accordingly?
If they feel now he can play wannee, they shouldnt have any concern of releasing beacon dates in May or any other time in

Wanee will happen wiuh or without Gregg, too big to cancel. The Brothers may not play, which would terrible but there are enough bands playing to fill the void. What happens after that if he is still not well is up in the air for sure..........

Everyone says the new dates will be announced soon, and I'm sure it'll happen as early as possible. But you have to give them a little time here. They announced a big change in their plans on Monday and it may take a while to sort out all the schedules involved.
